It was very important for me to showcase some ways that black women practice self care. For many of us, whether our hair is cut short, natural or in a weave. It plays a big role in our every day life and in a way, is a part of self care, we have our rituals that we practice when it comes to hair. From laying our edges, to wash days, to getting ready for bed, and throwing our bonnet, scarf or durag on.

This Saturday we’ll be releasing our “Luxury” collection for the fall. Inspired by songs “God Morning” and “Bra Off” by @natalielaurensims . We heard the songs and knew immediately that this would be part of the soundtrack for the collection.

This collection, like many of our past collections focuses on women’s self care, and positive affirmations. But, while it’s for everyone this collection was designed specifically with black women in mind. A reminder that our presence is a luxury, we are the blueprint, that we’re forever blooming and that it’s ok to take off the weight of the world, and REST.
